Why LSU?

Going into college, my priorities were upside down. Meeting the brothers and being surrounded by them helped me realize that not only could I achieve whatever I wanted, but I didn’t have to be alone in doing so. Seeing all of the brothers from different places, yet having so much in common, made me feel like I always wanted to be around something like this.

What’s special about Onyota?

The strong, creative minds that have shaped this chapter from day one into what it has become today—and the excitement for what’s still to come. Onyota has always been a home where ideas grow.

How can you relate to the chapter motto?

My father inspires me every day to change the world the way he changed his. From the Dominican Republic to growing up in Hunts Point, he transformed the world around him through hard work and by seizing every opportunity that came his way. He changed his world, which shaped mine—and I can only hope to one day fill his shoes and change the world for my family the way he did for his.
