#1 SOLO - SKOW LINE - FALL 2013
MARS, born and raised in Harlem, NY with Dominican roots, is a Utica University graduate in Public Relations and Communications. Now an entrepreneur based in Beverly Hills, CA he runs a luxury barbering and scalp micropigmentation business. A passionate artist and image architect, MARS was once expelled from Utica and told it was impossible to return. He fought his way back in, earned top grades, and graduated with a management position for a grooming studio owned by two of his own chapter brothers. Winning the graduation ring raffle for the class of 2018—his first ever—felt like the universe’s way of saying: you earned this. He currently serves as President of the Onyota Chapter.

My Story
Why LSU?
I chose LSU because the brothers of Onyota became my mentors during one of the darkest chapters of my life. After losing my father at 18, they filled that gap with masculine guidance, brotherhood, and purpose. LSU connected me to my roots—and to my higher self.
What’s special about Onyota?
Onyota represents quality over quantity. Despite our smaller numbers, we've consistently outshined larger chapters through discipline, impact, and leadership. We don’t just exist in Greek life—we shape the future.
How can you relate to the chapter motto?
I believe the world changes when we change within. My life has taught me that personal transformation is the first step to creating real change around us. Self-Actualization is the beginning of change. One man—when he rises—can shift everything.
