Why LSU?

LSU made me feel like I was part of something entirely bigger than myself. I had to follow a leader to become a leader. LSU provided a platform for individuals like me to succeed—both in doing great things and serving the community. I strived to become one of those individuals every single day. LSU gave me a family away from my own, while also offering countless networking opportunities that allowed me to bond with brothers on a personal, spiritual, and professional level.

 

 

What’s special about Onyota?

Onyota made me feel like I was part of a bigger picture. Especially coming from an urban community, that feeling wasn’t something I took lightly. Being part of Onyota made me feel like I was contributing to a legacy that will never die within our chapter’s history. As this chapter continues to grow and develop, our story is one that has been told by many brothers before me—and will continue to be told long after me.

 

 

How can you relate to the chapter motto?

One person can make a difference that lasts a lifetime. I was able to live by the chapter’s motto to influence and inspire the brothers who came after me—pushing them to see the best within themselves. The chapter motto has shaped the way I carry myself mentally. It has helped mold me into someone unbreakable and unstoppable, committed to making life better while inspiring those around me. This concept empowered me to uplift others and become the change in what we call life.
