My Story
Why LSU?
I wanted to join a fraternity where I could truly learn about my culture and discover who I am. The brothers I met carried themselves in such a genuine way that it made me feel like I was already a part of the brotherhood—even when I wasn’t.
What’s special about Onyota?
Onyota is special to me because, after starting my college career in Albany and going through all that I did, Onyota gave me a completely different path in life—along with another opportunity to join this amazing brotherhood. And what makes this chapter truly unique is its foundation, built by a long list of back-to-back solos who carried the weight and legacy forward.
How can you relate to the chapter motto?
This chapter has pushed me to look beyond myself and focus on how I can contribute to the betterment of the chapter, the community, the school, and beyond. The motto “One Man Can Change the World” has helped shape me into a more thoughtful, purposeful, and contributing member of society.
