My Story

I was a freshman at college seeking the camaraderie of a brotherhood. 10 years ago LSU wasn’t on campus and after being introduced to the brothers I felt a genuine connection. To be sure of this decision my friends and I traveled to different campuses, every where we went there was mutual respect and adornment. I personally wanted to bring this fraternity to utica so young men can follow my footsteps and feel the same connection amongst brothers.

Whats special onyota?

Every brother in this chapter is uniquely identified by they’re special skills one person being totally different than the other. Together we form a bond which covers the flaws and highlights the chapters strengths. Over 10 years we’ve faced the line of extinction in many instances however in desperate times  we’re able to rally and come together for the greater good of the chapter.

Relate to chapter motto?

One man can change the world, I believe every man has a task to impact the world for the greater good of humanity. We should leave this world better than how we found it. My mission is to provide for my culture, community and family. One person can't change the entire world, but 1 person can spark the change so others follow in their lead. Through the Onyota process you learn how to lead so when faced with the task in the real world, we’re ready.
